Promise

‘Promise’ emphasises a woman's role in nature as a fierce bringer, guardian, and protector of life, and also serves as an allegory for nature's resilience and ability to constantly adapt and regenerate. Her gaze directly at the viewer reflects a steely determination and strength, as she gently cradles a nest, containing a paper boat which itself represents a new part of the journey. The crashing waves further emphasise the idea of cyclical renewal, transformation, and the beginning of a new phase.
