About me

Born in the small country town of Ouyen in Victoria, Australia, Pamela was one of 12 children. Childhood was a time when she could run free and wild, creating imaginary worlds and dreaming of uncurbed futures. Creative since the beginning, art is her form of expression, a conduit for emotional release and healing. In 2002, Pamela moved to the Blue Mountains. Surrounded by the inspiring natural environment, she found her desire to create unquenchable. She enrolled in a Diploma of Fine Arts at Nepean TAFE to refine technical skills and further her passion. She received the top student awards, and created whenever she could snatch a moment away from her two beautiful children. Her art practice slowed during motherhood, but now it is the sole focus of her life. Pamela strives to connect with her authentic self and express the ideas she is passionate about. She sees her art practice as a journey, and herself as an explorer. “It's all about being in the moment and finding where the journey will take me”. Pamela Black 2026
