As my collection creatively and cathartically unfolded, I found my paintings increasingly representing feelings of joy, hope, liberation, and gratitude to the beautiful natural environment in which I live. The Superb Fairy Wrens, common in the Blue Mountains, symbolise these ecstatic feelings. The yellow hues add to this feeling of growing positivity. The use of acrylics in addition to oils enables me to paint in a more expressive style.
